Mary Elizabeth McGlynn


Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is a voice over actress, writer, singer and director. As an actress, she plays Governor Pryce in Star Wars: Rebels, Dr. Maheswaran in Steven Universe, Valkyrie in Lego Marvel’s Avengers, Talis in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, Johanna in Heroes of the Storm,, and Brooha in Smile PreCure!. She voiced Major Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, for which she won the American Anime Award for Best Actress. You can also hear her as the Female Crusader in Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Kurutsu in Ghost in the Shell Arise: Border 1 – Ghost Pain, and Sei in Alpha Protocol. Some of her other popular roles are Kurenai from Naruto, Zanpakuto from Bleach: Burîchu, Helba from .hack//SIGN, Jagura from Wolf’s Rain, and Caroline from Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. She also portrays Zahra on Geek & Sundry’s Critical Role.

Mary is voice directing the Tangled: The Series (2017) television series; Billy Dilley’s Super-Duper Subterranean Summer (2017); Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero for Disney XD, starring Thomas Middleditch, Adam Devine, Alfred Molina and Larry Wilmore and Smile PreCure! for Saban Entertainment. She has directed the 6 Naruto movies, as well as Naruto, for which she received the 2008 SPJA Award for Best Director. Among her many other directing credits are Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, Tenkai Knights, Digimon Fusion Stitch!, Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers, Wolf’s Rain, and was a co-writer for the American adaptation of “Metropolis”. She also directed the original animated series, Boing the Play Ranger (2011) and Gormiti: The Lords of Nature Return! (2008).

Mary Elizabeth has had the great honor of singing the music of Akira Yamaoka for the movies Julia X and Silent Hill as well as the games: Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, Silent Hill: Origins, Shadows of the Damned, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and Silent Hill: Book of Memories, which she also voice directed. She also sang songs for Top Gun, Kholat and The Journey Begins from Ace Combat 5.
